Kuan Yin is also known as Bodhisattva representing the Goddess of compassion, mercy and kindness and also one of the most popular deities from China. The serene countenance stands on a double lotus base with the robes  flowing naturally over her long, slender body. She holds a vase containing the divine nectar of life that is pouring out with her left hand, represents the relieving of suffering. The beautiful carving of her right hand raised in the Vitarka Mudra gesture with the thumb and the index finger touch to form a circle which symbolizes the constant flow of energy. Her hair is up on a bun on top of her head with the meditating figure of the Amida Buddha. This elegant Kuan Yin would add peace and serenity into any garden, home or temple. When placed in a garden setting the white of the stone contrasts beautifully with the natural colors of nature.
